Math 3325 Principles of Math
Homework
Spring 2009
Looking ahead
The final exam
will be on Wednesday, May 13, and will cover everything up through and including Theorem 5.2.7.
About half the exam will ask you to remember something (a definition, or the statement of a theorem) or to do an easy procedure (fill out a truth table, apply a theorem to an example, etc.), and the other half will ask you to prove something (some proofs you will have seen before, some will be new; some will be easier, some will be harder).
Click here for more details on the schedule of the exam, my office hours in the week before the exam, when you can pick up your remaining homework, when you can pick up your final after the exam and find out your grades, etc.

Blank Paper Exercises
At the end of each chapter, complete the following "blank paper exercise", turning it in at the designated date:
After not looking at the material in this chapter for a day or two, take a blank piece of paper and outline the development of that material in as much detail as you can without referring to the text or to notes. (Places where you get stuck or can't remember highlight areas that may call for further study.) Afterwards, you can fill in gaps by looking at the text or your notes, but distinguish between what you did with, or without, the text or notes.
