Hamide Dogan receives MAA Southwestern Section's 2011 Distinguished Teaching Award
Dr. Hamide Dogan-Dunlap was presented with the 2011 Distinguished College or University Teaching of
Mathematics Award of the Southwestern Section of the Mathematical Association of America at
its annual meeting.
Dogan-Dunlap became the fourth UTEP faculty member (joining Bill Kaigh, Art Duval and Larry Lesser) to win
this award and now becomes the Section's nominee for the (national) MAA Deborah and Franklin Tepper Haimo Award
for Distinguished College of
University Teaching of Mathematics which will be announced later this year.
