The ninth annual
meeting of CombinaTexas will be held on the campus of the
University of Texas at El Paso on April 19--20, 2008.

There will be sessions of contributed papers, for which we welcome
submissions.
All the academic activities will be held at Quinn Hall on the campus of the
University of Texas at El Paso. The conference will begin Saturday morning,
April 19, and end at noon, Sunday, April 20.
Registration: Please register by filling out the
on-line form.
There is no registration fee for the conference.
The form includes information for applying
for support and
submitting a contributed talk, but
please fill out the form even if you do not want to apply for support
or contribute a talk.
Please note the following deadlines:
- March 18: applying for support;
- March 31: submitting a title and abstract for a contributed talk;
- April 6: registration.
Support:
The CombinaTexas Conference is committed to the strengthening and enrichment
of the mathematics personnel base. We expect to offer limited support of up
to $200 to partially cover domestic
travel and local expenses for our participants.
Preference will be given to those contributing a 20-minute talk. Graduate students,
junior faculty, women, minorities, and persons with disabilities are especially
encouraged to participate and to apply for support.
If you wish to apply for support, please fill out the request for support
section on the registration form. Please indicate your support needs. Early
application is encouraged. The deadline for applying for financial aid is March 18.
Lodging:
We have blocked off 25 rooms at the
Hilton Garden Inn,
right next to campus,
a 5 minute walk to the conference building.
The hotel provides a free shuttle to/from the airport (6am-10:30pm).
The conference rate is $85.00/night+tax, either
single or double, and is only valid April 17--21.
Participants should make their own reservation directly with the hotel
using the group code CBINA by March 27. Reservations can be
done online from the hotel's
website.
